Arab Voices: What They Are Saying to Us, and Why It Matters

Erica Johansson February 9, 2011 Books & Guides

In a new, comprehensive poll by Zogby International, field workers stationed in the Middle East asked key questions within cultural, political and historical contexts to thousands of people in countries including Morocco, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Their answers, combined with author James Zogby’s enlightening comments, debunk the five biggest myths and preconceived notions about Arabs and shed light on an often misunderstood region of the world.

Zogby is the founder and president of the Arab American Institute, writer of a weekly Washington Watch column that appears in twenty Arab newspapers, host of Viewpoint, a call-in discussion program about Middle East and world issues on Abu Dhabi television, and member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Democratic National Committee.

Arab Voices is a must read for anyone who wants to hear the real Arab opinion and gain valuable insight and understanding into the Arab World.

I received a review copy of Arab Voices courtesy of Palgrave Macmillan.

It was! My knowledge of the Middle East was rather limited so I found the book very interesting.
