Something about your list made me think of Bruce Chatwin in a word association kind of way - I would certainly suggest his book &#039;In Patagonia&#039; or his biography by Nicholas Shakespeare. Chatwin certainly had his critics but his style was unique enough that the term Chatwinesque is at time used as a description for styles of writing. That in itself is a pretty enviable legacy for any travel writer. Also he was a big fan of Moleskine notebooks and it is said the contemporary versions of them are styled on his descriptions. Cool.</description>
