So little time, so much to do.
If I was in Cape Town on vacation and had a limited time, here’s a list of things I should do.
Table Mountain
Table mountain is majestic, with a view of the entire of Cape Town it allows you to see the cape at its best.
Table Mountain or lions head for sundowners
Sundowners are great here and you can see the whole ocean and more. This is an ideal spot for some photographs.
Robben Island
Encapsulated in history, a tour of Robben island allows you to understand South Africa’s bitter past and bright future.
The Company Gardens
The company gardens are situated in town a short walk from Long street. They allow you to feed the squirrels and even have a pigeon eat out your hand.
Kirstenbosch Gardens
Ideal for a picnic, a great way to spend the day relaxing in the sun, and especially great for plant lovers as there is a wide variety of plants on show.
A Wine tour
Stellenbosch is renowned internationally for the world class wine. A wine tasting and a tour of Franschhoek will definitely allow you to get the best of Cape Town.
Cape Point
A tour to cape point allows you to see some of the great animal and plant life with stop offs at boulders beach .

I spent my honeymoon in Cape Town. Here are my favorite restaurants:
Ginga in Castle Street – great atmosphere, perfect for dinner
Haiku on Church street – great for Asian tapas
La Colombe – just the best food and wine I have had for a very long time. We loved it so much we went three times! Settle in for a long lazy lunch.

Thanks for the recommendations Tamara. La Colombe seems terrific. Here’s a link if anyone’s interested to read more http://www.dining-out.co.za/member_details-MemberID-33.html
Asian tapas is not bad either. Here’s a link to Haiku http://www.capetownmagazine.com/todonight/Western-Cape/Haiku-restaurant-in-Cape-Town-Asian-tapas-New-York-style~3

I’m hearing more and more about this magical place. It must be a sign that I have to venture over there.

If you have limited time in Cape Town, hiring a car is a great way to make sure you see as much of the city as possible – but make sure you read up on any driving safety advice in advance of your trip.
