During the summer (July-August) it's low-season and a bit lower prices. Those who'd like to surf should travel in the winter (the high-season is in November). Paros is both cheaper and better off-season, I think that applies to all of Greece actually. As for Hawaii, I'm not really sure though. We’re trying to avoid crowds, and it’s also a bit cheaper out of high season. Last summer we went Paros in Greece in September and it was wonderful, a few places had already closed but it was much more pleasant.
