Guldheden, Gothenburg, Sweden

apartment building

I still live in Gothenburg, Sweden. But in a new apartment, and in a new neighborhood. Pictured above, the amazingly beautiful view (no, not really) from the bedroom/living room window. I enjoy the view even more if I look to the right, rather than straight ahead, though. Especially in the morning, as the sun rises, and at night.

Enjoy your new home. You have such a nice view (specially) to the right. Are the photos taken now? I would expect some snow in Sweden in December.

Thanks, Andrei. I took the photos a few days before I wrote the post.

As for the snow, Northern Sweden generally has snow in December. In the rest of the country it can vary a lot from year to year. In Gothenburg we got some snow earlier in November and it snowed a bit yesterday. It all melted away at once though, but I hope for more snow before December’s over!

We already have lots of snow around here (in Romania). With so much snow is gonna be a lovely Christmas, just as I remember it from childhood. :)

But it is rather an exception – in the last 10 years we got used to Decembers without snow, or very little.

Great to hear that you’ll get a white Christmas this year. Have a happy holiday!

We got our first big snow fall this morning. :)

    -20 C. Wow… I haven’t experienced that cold weather since a cross-country skiing trip in Idre, Sweden, at 14.

We had about -4 C degrees today, but felt much colder because of the wind.
