I took a very similar train when I was in India – I traveled from Goa to a little town called Hampi which is inland a bit and have to say it was one of the most magical experience I have ever had. Def worth the expereince.

It was a great film. It's a must see. I was in India last summer so it brought back a lot of memories. And training in India is a truly unique and worthwhile experience. Especially the over-night trains. Gennaro’s last blog post..8 Great Movies For Paris Travelers

@ian, I totally agree. Nothing wrong with watching movies on dvd at home, but it can’t really be compared to the experience you’ll get in a theatre.

I’ve taken those trains through India, beautiful; can spend entire days just lounging in the heat, watching the world creep by, napping, drinking chai, sharing food with families. It all depends on what class of train you take, big difference…

I am scared of nothing more, for my upcoming trip, than trying to get on a train in India. getting on trains in other parts of the world? Fine. I love it. But hanging out the door?
