Wow, fantastic photo that brought back memories. Who knows? That could have been the exact same spot where an American friend and I, cutting classes at Grenoble University in February, 1983, drove up through low cloud into brillian sunshine and two feet of powder snow for what is still my best day of skiing ever. The runs were closed for “off-piste” but we didn’t care – just kept going further and further beyond our last tracks for deep snow the whole day. One of my first posts even has a photo of it:

Hi Ian,
Yes, who knows? Perhaps it was the same spot. Thanks for the link by the way. From looking at your first picture I can understand why you chose to skip class. Skiing in powder beats school anyday!
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL photo. Makes me want to go skiing
Hi Kara,
I bet it’s almost impossible for all skiers not to want to ski when looking at this picture!
Who wouldnt love to glide over this beautiful place. I would be visiting the Common Wealth winter games thats to be held in Kashmir (India) this December, the place is really beautiful with the Himalayan Mountain peaks offering a virtual feast to your eyes.
