All travelers must eat. Pictured above, part of yesterday’s dinner at my cousins’ house, veggie potato gratin with sliced carrots, black olives and Persil.
For dessert, homemade apple pie with vanilla sauce.

Super tasty. My cousins’ parents surely know how to cook!
Seems tasty … I am not really into veggie though
How come?
Mmmmm!!! Delicious looking! Vanilla sauce is not a big thing in Asia, so I only got to know it when living in Sweden. And it’s all over apple pies, apple crumble, fruit pies etc. Fantastic thing to have over desserts! Fantastic photos that make you drool!

True, vanilla sauce is very popular here in Sweden. Especially on apple pies! And the one with real vanilla (where you can see the black vanilla seeds), as opposed to those with vanilla extract, tastes way better.
Looks delicious and the perfect winter comfort food.
Yes, gratins of various kinds are great during the cold winter months. As are soups.
