I had somewhat of a setback a couple of days ago and am currently living at my grandmother’s place (pictured below) to save money. I arrived in Halmstad on July 1st after a 4-hour bus journey and two nights in Linköping. Before that I lived in my old room at my parent’s house for some time.
I first meant to move in at my grandmother’s summer cottage in Frösakull at once but decided to stay in central Halmstad for a while. It feels good to be back here and as soon as I can I will find my own place again.
The summer cottage is pretty small, but only a 10 minutes walk to Frösakull Beach so the location is nothing to complain about.
Right now I’m sitting at the library, using their free wireless Internet access. Before I go, I want to mention that Iwannagothere is running a great contest until September 15th: Iwanngothere’s Weirdest Summer’09 contest. For a chance to win a Lomo Diana F+ camera, tell them about the weirdest place you’ve been this summer. They will choose the 10 best entries and users will vote for the winner.
Have a great weekend!

I’m a library fanatic – I can’t get enough of them! Every city we travel to, I always search and find the library. This one is AMAZING! One of the coolest I have ever seen…enjoy yourself (and the free WiFi!).

Same here! And yes, this library is really special! Great location just by the river and only a five minutes walk to the center of the city.
Everything in Sweden is designed so unique (ok well not everything but almost everything). That library is awesome.

I’ll probably be doing a post on some great design (mostly or only architecture) soon.
Nice photos, I like the look of the beach.
Isn’t there also a large Picasso sculpture in Halmstad ?
