Some of you might remember my October post Getting It Right. I wrote about the process of finding the right blog theme and how I wanted Travel Blissful to develop in the future. At first I liked my chosen theme, but wasn’t 100% content and when I found this new theme by WooThemes I just couldn’t resist it. This is the right one. I can feel it.
I will still implement some of the plans and ideas I had before. First up is a new header.
Update: When writing this post I was using Gotham News in style Brown by WooThemes.

Hi Erica
I like the new theme but I do think that the top nav has too many elements to it. I almost want the regional links pulled out separately so I can see what other topics you cover. Things like interviews for example get a bit lost in the list. Hope you don’t mind me saying.

Hi Tamara
I don’t mind at all. Until I have figured out the right code for pulling out only certain links from the nav bar, I removed all of them. It looked way too messy with so many categories.

I’m with Tamara. I recognize that content organization is tough, it’s usually readers that have a better eye than us the creators…
And how about a headshot picture next to the “Travel Blissful” or somewhere…

Good idea Taylor! It would probably look weird with a headshot pic in the header, but I will add one to the sidebar…eventually.
