df4bd13e Rue des Alpes: The Fribourg Street With the View

Even if Fribourg can seem old-fashioned, this city in central Switzerland does have a somewhat modern and cosmopolitan feel. Thanks to Fribourg’s universities, many students from different countries live here. During our stopover we met English, French, German and Italian speakers (from Ticino).

Another favorite moment was when I walked along Rue des Alpes. This street goes parallell with Rue de Romont and Rue de Lausanne. The view of the city, the hills and the countryside in the distance almost made me wish I could stay longer.

Before exploring the city, get a free map from the tourist office next to the train station which is located above the Old Town.
