		<description>@curt corum, Yes, more people stay close to home - and take staycations. The media has overused the term and some travellers, including Matt who wrote a blog post about it at http://www.nomadicmatt.com/travel-blogs/staycation/, are annoyed by the word. I don’t mind though. As I commented on Matt’s blog: to me, a staycation partly means taking time off work to do something in your own hometown, like checking into a hotel close to home (for the experience, not ‘cause you need a place to sleep) which I think is a great idea.</description>

		<description>The same thing is happening here in the UK. People seem to get more benefit from several short breaks than they do from longer vacations. IN the Uk because of its smaller size there are so many things to do and places to go in counties like Hampshire and Dorset without the need to make extensive journies.</description>
