I first heard of Sara Tavares thanks to Szavanna_blog.
Sara Tavares on where her songs come from:
Well, I actually write them when I’m praying or when I’m having my lonely time. I write them like lullabies for myself. The songs to motivate me towards life. Whatever’s going on in everyday. If I’m tired, it is a song to energize me. If I’m mad, it’s a song to soothe me, you know. If I’m sad, it’s a song to lift me up. I just do songs depending on what I need.
She considers herself a singer and looks at the guitar as a drum, as a beat behind her voice.
