Some of the Best Things in Life Begin with the Letter “C”
I recently stumbled upon the post Best Ways To Spend Your Last $50 at Popagandhi, where I read that the best things in life begin with the letter “C”. I couldn’t help but ask, “Really?”

My last coffee fix so far, Caramel Macchiato with whipped cream, from Starbucks at Kensington Church Street, London.
According to Adrianna, chocolate, coffee and cigarettes top the list. I don’t agree about the latter, but chocolate and coffee; without a doubt. Have loved chocolate for as long as I can remember and even though I managed to get over my coffee addiction (haven’t had a coffee since September, 2007), I do miss it sometimes.
What else to like on the letter “C”?
Movies: Crash, Carlito’s Way, City of God, Children of Men. Songs: Change, California Dreamin’, Conga, Chayyia Chayyia, Chariot, classical music.
Chinese food, cycling, climbing walls, canoeing, cars, cabs, convertibles, cooking, conversations, cocktails, cameras, camera phones, cell phones, camcorders, cyberspace, computers, cybercafés, cinema, CDs, clock radios, contact lenses, cultures, chances, choices, challenges, clairvoyance, change, chemistry, cherries, corn, clementines, carrots, cinnamon, cranberries, cherry tomatoes, chai tea, coconut milk, curry, chili, couscous, cities, carnivals, cityscapes, courtyards, charity, cafés, clubs, comedy, clothes, coffee-table books, coastlines, chateaus, chalets, candles, campfires, cable cars, cheap travel, castles, cathedrals, churches, chardonnay, cabernet, camembert…
Not to mention all the great destinations on “C”: Cambodia, Cape Verde, Colorado, Cameroon, Croatia, California, Cyprus, Cornwall, Coney Island, Copenhagen, Chicago, Connecticut, Colombia, Cuba, Catalonia, Cape Town, Canada, Chile.
Did I miss anything?

How about yes we CAN!
Longest running best play and best pet to have CATS!
“Yes we Did”
The two C’s of European travel – castles and cathedrals (or churches)?
And on the food front: a creamy camembert cheese washed down with a cooling Chardonnay (or a Cabernet)?
It’s funny. One second I’m reading this post about chocolate, the next second I’m in my kitchen grabbing some rolo’s. I love chocolate. No to the cigarettes though..
@Debo Hobo, CATS, longest running best play, so true!
@Mark H, Camembert, the tastiest cheese after Brie, and Chardonnay or Cabernet. How could I forget? Will add castles, cathedrals and churches as well.
@Justin Wright, Hahaha
It’s the same for me. I just have to read about chocolate to want it.
I like Copenhagen but as this article shows it “only” gets second place for “best city to live in” and also second is “city with prettiest girls” : http://nordic-travel.blogspot.com/2008/06/scandic-capitals-nice-to-live-in-and.html
Also I must add a perosnal passion for Carrots.
Hi rob, “Only” second place? I’ll have to check out which city came first. Thanks for the link.
Yes, carrots are good – and healthy! Will add them to the list.
Stockholm came first for prettiest girls
In the survey by Monocle, actually Munich came first as most liveable city.

Of course I’m biased but the best thing beginning with the letter C is Corinne. Of course I’d say that!
@Rob, Thanks for the link!
@Corinne, Yes, of course you would
