Making travel plans is not always easy, especially if you plan on vacationing in a new destination. The internet provides access to a buffet of virtual information, but sometimes the best way to gain insight is talking to actual people with personal experiences and advice.
For visitors of St. Lucia, arranging a Caribbean getaway became easier with the establishment of a new call center for tourists. Now your pressing questions about local cuisine, accommodations, and customs can be answered live by a professional.
Created by the Saint Lucia Tourist Board, the call center offers toll-free information provided to travelers by a panel of specialists located on the island. The staff will allegedly be comprised of six representatives who will provide customer service assistance to interested callers.
In addition to the phone communication available through the center, prospective travelers may also engage in live web chats through the tourist board’s website. Targeted towards North American vacationers, the center intends to provide information to individuals as well as travel agents.
If you’re interested in obtaining information about a St. Lucia vacation, the center can be reached by calling (800) 456-3984, or (888) 478-5824. Calls can be made Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM eastern time. Saturday operations run from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

What I great idea to allow people who are visiting to have some place to call. My hopes it that the island doesn’t get ruined by more and more call centers opening up for other purposes.
Certainly, I’ll keep my thumbs crossed that it will be a success!
