No matter where in the world you travel, make sure to challenge yourself every day. Try a new activity, taste a different food dish, make an effort to speak to the locals, take a road less travelled. Just get out of your comfort zone and do things you didn’t think you could do.

Nice post (and blog) Erica – sweet and simple.
I couldn’t agree more with you about getting outside your comfort zone when you’re traveling. I believe that’s what separates travelers from tourists. I’ll admit though that sometimes you have to do the tourist thing – you can’t visit Egypt without seeing the pyramids or Orlando without at least getting a taste of Disney.
But you really start to feel the local vibe when you eat where the locals eat, hang out where they hang out. Harder to do sometimes, but infinitely more rewarding.
Just one question. Is that you in the picture???
