The Largest Connected Pedestrian Zone in Switzerland

The largest connected pedestrian zone in Switzerland can be found in the Old Town of Winterthur. This Swiss city is located nearly 30 minutes by train from Zurich in the northern part of the country. Winterthur’s Old Town begins at the street Untertor, followed by Marktgasse and Obertor. Stroll down Untertor-Marktgasse-Obertor from east to west, and don’t miss the side streets to the south where you can find many unique and interesting shops.
After sightseeing and shopping, stop by Plan B located at Zürcherstrasse 7 in Pionierpark. We caught side of this bar on our way to the train station, after a day in Winterthur, and couldn’t resist checking it out. I’m glad we did. Plan B has cool and comfy furnishing, attentive staff, and a trendy yet unpretentious feel. The lounge bar is open Tuesday to Thursday 4pm-12pm, Friday and Saturday 4pm-2am and Sunday 4pm-12pm.
Consider returning to the Old Town as it’s getting darker, because the atmosphere is even more special in the evening!

Really makes you think, doesn’t it?
It does.
