I have been to Yellowstone National Park and it is amazing. It is one of those places that you need to experience. Reading about it is great but experiencing it sends shivers down my spine. I plane to go to Rocky Mountain National Park next summer

I have traveled to most of the National Parks in the western U.S. with the notable exception of Grand Canyon and Glacier. They are all national treasures. Here, however, were some of my personal favorites; 1.Rocky Mountain 2.Canyonlands 3.Zion 4.Sequoia 5.Yellowstone 6.Smokey Mountain 7.Teton 8.Yosemite 9.Bryce Canyon 10.Arches.

Another fantastic thing about the Western U.S. is the vast amount of National Monuments, Wilderness Area and Forest Service lands. Manytimes these places provide the same incredible scenery and recreational opportunities without the large crowds found in many National parks. I hope you get the chance to enjoy some of these magnificent locations sometime soon.
