I misplanned my trip and ended up in South Korea this December. It dropped to about -8 and I had no warm weather clothes.

I bet it must have felt good when you could finally leave… or at least buy warmer clothes if you decided to stay longer. Well, we can’t plan for everything :)

Thanks for the all-in-one reference, I was looking for a good list of when/where to plan my next travel times now that I’m not constrained to the school schedule any more.

This post was such a relief to see! I’m headed to northern Australia at the beginning of May and was worried it would be too chilly since it will be late Fall there but this has eased my mind. Thanks so much!!

I would add to that the following nuances: Costa Rica – Jan-March offshore winds in the NW are good for surfing, very dry up there then. Costa Rica swell conditions make good surfing in May-July in SW, but its very rainy. In Bali, Nov-Mar is very rainy. May-Sept you get trade winds = good surf on west coast. Visit Jaco Costa Rica in mid-Nov to April for nice weather and great surf.
