@Ben, That sounds like a great idea. A night out in Lapa can't be anything else than fun!

I'd love to spend my birthday in Rio! As long as I could take all my friends with me, a birthday night out in Lapa would be amazing!

Oh, Happy Birthday, Erica!!!

Gosh, terrible question to ask me. I travel so much that time and money makes no difference as to what I'd do. I just like spending my birthday with my husband, family and friends - anywhere in the world.

@Geoff, That sounds like a great idea - picking a new place every year. I wrote "all the time and money..." just so there wouldn't be any limits, but of course something doesn't have to be pricey or luxurious to be fun! In fact, many travellers I've spoken to said their low-budget European trips were the most enjoyable.

@foxnomad, Good choices! Boracay, Philippines, is amazing. And yes, Sweden does have clean air - except Hornsgatan in Stockholm. I think that's the street with the most exhaust fumes in the whole country. The cleanest air can be found in Jämtland County in northern Sweden.

@Taylor, I like your attitude. As long as people are with friends they enjoy hanging out with, the place does have less importance.

Bodrum Turkey, Boracay Philippines, or Brazil (any major city, I've never been).

Good beaches, great party places, and good exchange rates!

I agree though, Sweden is a beautiful country, I wish I could bottle the clean air and bring it back with me!

Somewhere new. Every year I go away for the weekend somewhere in Europe, with a group of friends, and the tradition now is that it's always somewhere I haven't been before. I know you said "all the time and the money"...but I'm quite happy with doing it like this. Just deciding where to go this year now....
