Only two weeks left before I leave my apartment in Guldheden, Gothenburg.
Pictured above, my current workspace (when I don’t work out of home). Precisely what I prefer — empty, clean and low key.
When you work from home, how does your desk look like?
My office desk is immaculate and my home desk looks like a tornado hit it. I try so hard to keep it clean, but we are really limited for space and my husband has a nasty habit of dumping stuff on my desk that he ‘thinks I might be interested in’.

Sounds like you need some sort of desk organizer for your home desk.
My locations vary as I move but I prefer a workspace like yours, clean, simple, and uncluttered. I do feel it comforting though to have a little bit of my own trash, like crumpled up paper around, adds to the “office effect”.

That is pretty clean. I need clean lines and minimal distraction otherwise I’m looking at old notes, pieces of paper, magazines etc and not doing what I need to do. One thing I find I can’t do is write at a desk or table that has no leg space.

I know what you mean about minimal distraction. When you have things on your desk that you don’t need, it’s pretty easy to lose focus. And much leg space is important. As is a good chair.
