The historic city of Charleston is recognizable by its pastel houses and antebellum plantations as well as Fort Sumter where the Civil War began. Golfers flock to the Myrtle Beach area, and nature lovers will find a lot to see.

Observers will want to take a trip to the Cypress Wetlands that many ducks, birds, turtles, and the occasional alligator like to call home. There is also the Audubon Swamp Garden. South Carolina deer hunting can be done at places like Cedar Knoll Hunting Lodge and other designated areas. You will also discover many lakes and rivers that are ideal for fishing.
