Travel to Guatemala, a Central American country south of Mexico, is home to volcanoes, rainforests, and ancient Mayan sites. The capital, Guatemala City, features the stately National Palace of Culture and the National Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology. There are tons of historical sites to explore in this country, but there are other charms are also here as well, such as the colonial city of Antigua, the lively market of Chichicastenango, the incredible ancient ruins of Tikal, and many awesome volcanoes and lakes.

Temple IV

This is the tallest temple in Tikal. It’s a bit of a hike and then you climb some stairs to get to the top. It’s definitely worth it for some beautiful views of the jungle and you can also see the tops of temples 1 and 2. It gives you a whole new perspective on your ancestors. The way the temples are located in the jungle is impressing. It’s a place where you can wander for a whole day and see a lot of temples and other Maya monuments. Travel to Guatemala and see the view from the top is stunning. You also get a good feel for how the jungle covered up the greater part of the site which is still buried.

Semuc Champey

A must visit to one of the most beautiful places in Guatemala. Travel to Guatemala and see the national park is awesome and you have to visit the Cave too. After you pay your entry; do the hikes up to the view point as you can get an amazing shot of the water below, the pools have crystalline water and it is lot of fun to walk from one pool to another. It is gorgeous, not only the view point but also to walk around the pools. It feels like, you are in heaven. Underneath the pools is a raging river. If you love the outdoors, you will definitiely love Semuc Champey.

Great Plaza

The Great Plaza lives up to its name. If you only had the time to do one thing in the park, this would be it. You can see many of the iconic pyramids and climb and explore the structures. Make sure to check out the giant mask carving too. Travel to Guatemala and see the great plaza is quite impressive. It is so photogenic, so many magnificiant views, carvings, and thing to see. It has a very rich history. There are quite a lot of wild life and birds to see as well. It’s worth to pay a while for the quietness, history, and beauty.

Acatenango Volcano

This is one of the coolest palce to visit, when you Travel to Guatemala. You have to hike up for atleast 5 or 6 hours between flower plantations, crops, and the forest. Once you get to the top you have amazing views and the crater makes you feel on top of the world. The active Fuego Volcano can be seen right in front of you. This is a must experience for anyone who enjoys outdoor activities. This is a really tough physical challenge but well worth for it. Be prepared for cold weather on the summit hike, and possible heavy rain if you hike during the rainy season.

Casa Santo Domingo Museums

Travel to Guatemala and see the museum built around a ruined church. The hotels are looking very luxurious, but if you don’t want to stay there, you should at least visit the museums and enjoy walking around the grounds. The grounds are gorgeous and it is full of history. This place is one of the most unique filled with hotels and unusually good for hotel products you will find anywhere. This is a gorgeous converted monastery complete with ruins that you can walk around before you eat at their main restaurant, under a canopy of trees. There is an art gallery with beautiful pieces. It’s a must see sight for all travelers those who Travel to Guatemala.

Pacaya Volcano

Travel to Guatemala. It’s an awesome adventure to travel with friends, with a great view at the top and a lot of emotion for everyone. If you have never seen lava and you want to have that experience, this place is for you. You have to walk a lot to reach the top but is totally worth for your pain. Horses are a great option for kids since the trail is steep in certain parts. You can also rent a walking stick if desired. Up at the top, there is a small shop for special small gifts or keepsakes at reasonable prices.
